How to make a habit tracker
To make a habit tracker, list a few habits you can answer yes or no each day, lay them against a row of dated boxes, and tick one box per day. The maker below does the layout; the six steps say how to use it.
Your tracker
The PDF has a box you can tick on screen for every day, in any PDF reader that fills forms. It's made in your browser; your habits are not sent anywhere.
An example, worked
Five habits on a January 2027 monthly sheet make 5 × 31 = 155 boxes. If one row ends the month with 24 ticks, that habit held on 24 of 31 days, about 77%.
Make and use a habit tracker
- Pick your habits. Choose a few you can answer yes or no each day, written as actions: “Read 20 pages”, not “Read more”. Type them in the maker, one per line.
- Choose a layout. Year at a glance shows a streak across 2027; Monthly shows up to 12 habits for one month; 30 days runs from any start day.
- Set the dates. Pick the month or the start day, and whether your week starts on Sunday or Monday.
- Print or save. Print it for the wall or the fridge, or save the PDF and tick it on screen.
- Tick each day. Tick at the same time every day, such as before bed, so no day gets missed.
- Review at the month's end. Count each row's ticks. Keep the habits that held, and change the ones that didn't for next month's sheet.
